.
Do you ever come home exhausted from the pressure of the day?
Maybe the weather changed.
Markets moved.
Something broke down.
An employee made a mistake.
A conversation didn’t go the way you expected.
You got everything done that needed doing, but you carried the pressure home with you.
How does your family respond when you walk through the door?
And when you show up again the next morning, what does your team get?
That is leadership too.
The Factor Journey is an eight-week leadership experience built around a simple idea:
Pressure is inevitable. How we respond to it matters.
Because pressure doesn’t just affect the decisions we make.
It affects our tone.
Our assumptions.
Our conversations.
Our relationships.
And ultimately, the trust people have in us.
The Factor Journey helps farm leaders recognize pressure before it becomes reaction and become more intentional about how they lead themselves, their families and their teams.
It starts with a simple choice:
Today I choose.
Throughout the eight weeks, we use four simple steps to bring intention back into everyday leadership.
Recognize
What is happening right now?
Notice the pressure, the trigger, the assumption or the expectation before it starts deciding how you respond.
Respond
Who do I want to be in this moment?
Choose your response instead of allowing frustration, fear or exhaustion to choose it for you.
Reflect
What happened?
What worked? What didn’t? What can I learn from this without blaming myself or someone else?
Reframe
What do I want to do with this now?
Look at the situation differently, reconnect with what matters and decide how you want to move forward.
These four steps create room for something every farm needs more of:
Trust.
Trust in yourself.
Trust within your family.
Trust with employees and partners.
Trust that allows people to communicate, make decisions, take ownership and move forward together.
Purpose
Why does this matter?
Purpose gives our decisions direction and reminds us what we are actually working toward when the pressure of the day gets loud.
Trust
Relationships are built one interaction at a time.
Every assumption, expectation, conversation and response either strengthens trust or weakens it.
Intentionality
What result are we trying to create?
Being intentional means deciding how we want to show up before pressure makes that decision for us.
This isn’t about becoming a perfect leader.
People will still make mistakes.
And some days simply won’t go according to plan.
The goal is to stop allowing those circumstances to decide who walks through the door at night or who shows up to lead the next morning.
Because leadership isn’t only measured by what gets accomplished.
It’s also measured by the relationships we build while accomplishing it.
Purpose. Trust. Intentionality.
And four simple steps to bring you back when pressure starts taking over:
Recognize. Respond. Reflect. Reframe.
The journey begins with one choice.
Today I choose.
